I'm glad you like the Big Bitch Keno. I love it but I don't even compare it to the classic Bitch. I just enjoy them both. I do the same with live versions of songs. I never think to myself well the studio version of Sympathy is better than the Ya Yas version so I'll just listen to the studio because it's the best. I like different takes on the same song including different live versions of a specific song.
The version of Midnight Rambler at the Roundhouse is different than the Ya Yas version. Both are great. (I personally like the Roundhouse version best between the two right now. Taylor and Keith are ON once it gets rolling and Jagger's vocals and his harp are superb. Yet I'll still enjoy the Ya Yas version for the dynamic aspects it has to offer.
I get pissed about some of the odd, even dirty dealings of the Glimmers sometimes myself, as you know, but I love outtakes and live Stones particularly during the MT era of the band. So I'll be spinning the SF bonus disc plenty.
It's really pretty damn amazing the band is still around for us to get pissed at them and/or enjoy their music. I try to keep that in mind too.
