Universal Music's remastering of the Stones albums - both the single discs and deluxe reissues - has been a disaster if you are an audiophile who hates the "loudness wars."

Virgin did a fantastic job of remastering the back catalog in the mid-90's. One of the finest record company remastering jobs that has ever been undertaken.

Remastering again was superfluous, but the new record label wants to make money. Unfortunately, they ruined the sound as well. I will be holding on to my Virgin CD's forever and ever.
