Vocals/Guitars Mix

>...that both bonus discs would've benefitted from having Mick's voice not sound as though it was recorded for the Bigger Bang album. I just think that one of the things that makes the Stones classic albums unique is how Mick's vocals are mixed lower than the guitars. I think it's that important,...<

I completely agree and have noted as much before. Part of the reason Tallahasee Lassie grabs me so much is they used the '78 Jagger vocals and the classic mix you mentioned.

Jagger got in a habit of over-pronunciation for his vocals on ABB. I believe DA was the first to mention it here at the board. It can be annoying at times and is twice as noticeable with his vocals high in the mix. He continued that style of singing on both the SG Bonus and Exile Bonus discs. I like the classic style of mix and his older style of singing far better.

The two new songs for the 50th Anniversary have a more classic mix and less over-pronunciation from Jagger. That change was welcome.
