I got the cd deluxe version at Best Buy, which comes with a coupon for a single (which I already redeemed!).
The Roundhouse stuff is fucking great! The bonus disk is really good, mainly because of the Roundhouse stuff. Dead Flowers sounds like a rehearsal, not an alternate studio version. It's like a sound check or something. At least that's what I thought. It's cool, though. I didn't have it.
Bitch and CYHMK are cool. I think Bitch is the real keeper of the two. You can hear where the jam at the end of CYHMK comes from by listening at the beginning and paying attention to the percussion. It's pretty cool, but Bitch is pretty much on fire.
The Clapton version of Brown Sugar is definitely the best sounding one I've heard. Something seemed different about it. Maybe it's the mix or maybe it's just so much cleaner. I'd have to go pull it out and check.
The box is really nice! It comes with a hardbound book, five postcards and then the two cd's and a bonus DVD of Midnight Rambler and Bitch from the Marquee Club. Haven't watched yet. The box, book and free single to be mailed to me later seemed worth the extra 20 bucks for the box to me. The Super box is 150. To me, they're maybe giving you 20 bucks worth of extra box goodies and charging 100 bucks for Leeds. Sorry, I'm not in on that one! The DVD on both the little box and the super box will be worthless when the Marquee DVD comes out anyway, so that had no affect on my decision. At least for today, Best Buy has the little box for 36.99. Three bucks off. Covered my taxes, anyway.
