Yea, what VH did would be even worst, and is, but there is nothing good in what the Stones did. Just because VH did even worst than them in bad taste, doesn't make the Stones move any better. I see no point or any good at all in dong that, none. You're selling a current album of old songs being put out by the old band, the way it used to be, this was not a new, current album by the current line-up only, so it was the wrong move all the way to show them only on the cover.
