Yes, Mike Millard is indeed the West Coast taper I was thinking of. Thank you for providing the name. So he's the one who used the wheelchair? I thought it was Lampinski. No matter who did what, we owe a debt of gratitude to those guys for providing us with some cool recordings. And for sharing their tapes with the bootleg world.

I love the early Allmans, with Duane. I still like the post-Duane band but part of the magic is gone. Did you ever hear the first album they ever recorded? They were known as the Allman Joys at the time. It's rather psychedelic, and pretty cool!

I tried the site you mentioned but it seems to belong to some high-tech company...
