I remember when I was a kid my mom wouldnt let me put up posters of the Stones (or anyone)on my bedroom walls. "it'll peel the paint!" or "Thumb tacks make HOLES in the walls!" I told her how MEAN she was and also, that when I HAD KIDS that they could always hang THEIR Stones posters in THEIR rooms! She laughed so hard and said, "The Stones? Your kid will have NO IDEA who the Stones are when it comes time for you to have a teenager!"
Guess fucking what!?? My son is 22 years old and has had posters of the Stones in his room since he's 13!!!
(P.S. She lost the battle with me anyway. Those posters hung proudly on my walls until I moved out!!)
