The opening acts don't get paid? Are you sure? I can't imagine that! Do you think GnR, The pretenders, Morrissette, Kanye and all those pretty well known acts opened for the Stones for free?
As far as Mick Taylor getting paid.... I'm sure whatever the Stones wanted to pay him he would have gladly taken. I believe they just didn't want him around anymore. Maybe I'm in the minority on this, but I really don't think the MT thing is about money. Especially if they are paying opening acts (If in fact they are)
