I would love a new album too. But releasing those live shows digitally like Springsteen does won't take away from a new album. They can do both. I do disagree with your statement that they "need" Mick Taylor. In my opinion the shows I saw during The 50 And Counting Tour (I saw 3), were among the best shows I've ever seen from them. Mick Taylor is a very welcomed treat, not a necessity. By the way maybe the other 4 Stones feel why should he be welcomed back fully while we held this thing together for the past 40 years?
