An intermission is a great idea for the Stones... Good for the fans, and good for the performers. Good for the venders. Good for everybody.

And good for Keith's ego, too! If the Stones had an intermission take place, then nobody would use his 2 songs to use the restroom!

Stones Poll: I went with No opening act and an intermission. I don't like intermissions. It takes the air out of the balloon, if you will. If there was a choice of NO Intermission and play straight through, I would have chosen that one.

Perhaps I should of had that listed too, but it's too late now, sorry. I went with what was used for the choices the last time this was asked in '05, other than I dropped one choice from that last time around.

Forget the opening act! Let the Stones open their own show. People who buy Stones tickets want to see the Stones, not somebody else.

I totally agree, and I agree for most bands that this should be the case. We don't pay to see bands we don't know or perhaps don't even like. But new, upcoming bands would not care for that, but then again, if they are good, they will become known on their own. Think of the Stones and Beatles, although they would sometimes pay package shows (the way it was sometimes done back in those days), they usually didn't ever open up shows for another, main band.

So "no opening act" is my pick for the Stones poll, for my other picks, in the Rock poll, I went with The Tokens' "The Lion Sleeps Tonight", as "Wimoweh" is just too cool as a backing do-whop vocal (and I never really cared for when groups sang do-whop, but it totally worked on this one!).... but I'll also give a nod to the Beatles "She Loves You", yeah yeah yeah! I'm surprised it isn't doing as well as I was thinking, but it is very early in the voting, too.

In the VS poll, I got to go with Arlo's great song/story, but I do like the Montrose song, too (remember all, there are links to each song in the voting booth if you don't know either song).... For the Fab's poll, as great and underrated a musician John was (and the only time you can apply "underrated" to anything he ever did, especially for his guitar playing), Paul was the better musician of not only the 2, but for the entire band. Is there any instrument that Paul can't play? It's the one thing he had over John, but still, not by much, as again, John's playing of different instruments was underrated, but he didn't play as many other instruments as Paul could... perhaps only Brian Jones and a single handful of other rockers played more instruments than Paul has?
