Soundtrack of my life... lessee...
Maybe I should say "soundtracks", with an "s", because some of it has changed as I got older. The two bands that have been a part of it from the moment I discovered music are the Beatles and the Stones. I've been listening to them since my teens and will never stop until the day I die.
Now for the "changing" part of the soundtrack...
When I was teenager, I listened to a lot of Pink Floyd and David Bowie. Saw both of them in the late 70s.
As an early adult, I got into the Doors. Jim was long dead by then so I never got a chance to see the band but I have pretty much all the video footage that exists. I love this band. Jim's lyrics speak to me and their music has a powerful effect on me.
These days, Skynyrd rounds out the soundtrack of my life. Another band that connects on a deep level, with simple but powerful lyrics, and excellent musicians.
I listen to a lot of other stuff, but those are the bands that define me.
