Certainly, 2000 LYFH is right up there from th '89 Tour and, as mentioned, the seque into SFTD made it MORE epic. So, I would say that one was the biggest surprise. On that same tour, I saw them play Dead Flowers and Play With Fire which were also pleasant surprises. Years later I saw them do Loving Cup at MSG and I almost jumped out of my skin. Loved it! Another surprise was Sway, but it really didn't sound great. Then, there was the choir for YCAGWYW on the last tour.
I am now thinking... Sticky Fingers is going to be featured on the upcoming leg of the tour. As I just mentioned, when I saw them do Sway (a favorite of mine), they didn't do it well. Mick kinda talked his way through the song. I didn't feel the passion that was evident on the album version. So many of those SF songs are sung with such passion and I can't see Mick pulling off some of those songs onstage. I never liked the way he sings Wild Horses live, Great studio version though. I can't imagine Moonlight Mile live. It would be so hard to pull off for Mick. The passion on that studio version can never be duplicated IMO.
As much as I love the slow songs and ballads from SF, and as much as I would love to see them performed live, i don't think they will sound the way I would like them to... vocally or musically without MT. I reccommend they do a Ronnie album such as Some Girls and leave SF alone.
