Savoy Brown was excellent, at least their middle lineup that had their only hit song, "Tell Mama", which featured former Fleetwood Mac lead singer Dave Walker on it. The Mac's original bassist Bob Brunning, was also in that lineup for awhile, as was Christie McVie's lead guitarist when she had the band Chicken Shack (she was known back then as Christine Perfect). It's funny the connection to the old blues Mac, yet they didn't sound like them at all.
