RE: RE: dandelion...a great deep track

John & Paul are on "We Love You" but I don't think they are on "Dandelion".

Paul is only on "We Love You", that is for sure; John may be on both, but, technically both of them are on the "Dandelion" single version too, which I don't think I've heard in years. Parts of "We Love You" were added into the "Dandelion" single mix, near the end of the song, it's very brief, but it is in there.

Fans tend to think of the two songs together, probably because they were released as the A/B sides of the same single, but they were recorded six months apart.

Yes and no. Both songs were A and B singles, yes, but, actually both were first worked on in sessions held on the same 2 days, June 12 and 13, 1967. However, John and Paul weren't there on those days, and didn't add in their backing vocals to "We Love You" until (yes) a month later, on the same day that "Dandelion" was finished. So yes, both songs were worked on in the same days and finished a month later, also on the same day. As far as John being heard on the backing vocals for "Dandelion", he may or may not be on there, it depends on who you listen to, but he was listed in the logs as being on there, however, what sessions logs state aren't always correct for any final cut, as he could have been on it and then his vocals were removed for the backing vocals recorded a month earlier. But if you listen to the song, well I hear him in there, but it could be just me too, the Lennon and Stones fan who just wants to hear him in there. But I do hear him anyway, Ronnie!
