There. I said it. I guess it's a confession. Its a terribly uncool sounding thing to say, I know.
I have been to rock concerts in the past, and enjoyed them immensely, but I really don't anymore. The crowds, the noise, the waiting around, the cost, etc etc.
Now... just to be clear.... I love Rock n' Roll. I adore it. And the Rolling Stones are truly a massive component of the 'sound track of my life'. So while I can do without seeing them live (as incomprehensible as that may be to some) I truly love the band. Happy to listen to them on CD, watch them live on TV, have numerous, thematic playlists of them in my iPod and IPhone, I can do without seeing them live.
That's why I like Keno's newest question of as yet unperformed songs. I don't need the classics done again. I listen to lots of live versions of them all the time.
But a live version of Winter or Time Waits For No one would be glorious.
Okay, going back to the live question...
I would probably NOT turn down concert tickets. And if I could see them at a smaller, more intimate venue (a club, or maybe SNL) I would go for it in a second.
