RE: It would have been A Bigger Bang

Even though I loved it when it first came out, I haven't played ABB is years. I just never have the desire to play it. I've heard a song or two off of it on the radio in the last few years and they still sound good enough to me today, but I never feel like playing the entire LP either. The same goes for any of their newer stuff, I liked Voodoo Lounge when it came out and yet I never play it today either. But damn, it's been over 20 years since its release, so it really can't be called 'newer stuff". Truth is, I don't play any of the albums made after Some Girls, they all have at least one song on them that I like, but none of them move me enough to take them out and play them. So it isn't just ABB that I don't ever feel like playing. All of the MT era albums still get played by me, along with most of the BJ ones, too. Of the Ronnie albums, only SG gets played, I don't play any of the other ones at all.

How 'sweet neocon' even made it to the cd?

It made the album because its one of the better songs that they were working on in the sessions. I love it myself, it's one of my favorites on there, plus it was very much in fashion at the time to make fun of the moronic asshole who was in the White House back then. So that's why it made the album, it would have been a crime not to include it!
