I found it! But no, I hadn't seen it yet.
I've had it for 2 plus years, after I recorded it on satellite when they had HBO on one week for free, in November, 2013 (unless it was Nov 2012, as where it notes when I recorded it, they don't list the year, only the month and day,and I know it wasn't last November). It's been sitting on there with me thinking in the past that I saw it already, but only tonight when I came upon it, this time I knew I might not have, since this thread was still on my mind when I saw it on the saved list.
Thing is, in a way I did see it already, as nothing seemed to be new on there for me, for the most part, all that stuff is just rehashed old films/docs with different interviews that I had also heard before.... I recall now my friend James telling me about this long before it came out, and him telling me that he was helping them work on it and gave them some old footage that most hadn't seen yet, and sure enough I see now that he is listed in the credits at the end of the film. So seeing this tonight reminded me of him talking about this about half a year before it was released, and I already had seen the unreleased stuff that was in there from him.
Yes, this doc was kinder to Brian, as was Mick and Keith. Plus as noted in this thread, why did it end in the way it did? You think they broke up after Ronnie joined them the way it ended.
But yes, it was enjoyable, even if I'd seen it before, but then again, I never seen it before, and that makes perfect sense even if it sounds like it doesn't!
