I know one thing, I wouldn't have The Doors on that list at all. I know I'm probably in the minority, but that group does nothing for me. In fact, I'd call them overrated. Your nominee list is good, although Aerosmith embarrassed themselves with their later output. ZZ Top was good but not even close to being "Best." Skynyrd and The Allmans are worthy choices. I know that this may not qualify as a band but Chuck Berry put out just a tremendous amount of great music. He was the blueprint in a lot of ways. Dunno, I'd have to think of a few more for this list. Great question!
