I have only voted in 2 of the polls so far, since I can't make up my mind in the others, too many great choices! But I will vote in those 2 polls that I haven't voted in yet, hopefully before mid week. So, my picks so far are:
VS Poll: The Temptations song is excellent and deserved to be a #1 hit, but there is no way I couldn't vote for my favorite Stones cover. Not only did Mick nail that one in how he sang it and changed some the words just a bit, but the entire band shinned on this song, so the Stones get my vote and I didn't even have to think this one over, an easy choice for me to make.
Stones Poll: ER was my pick, but only by a hair.
For the Rock poll, 4 songs/guitarists are still in the running for me, they are: 'Over the Hills and Far Away' - Acoustic Guitar by Jimmy Page, 'Sound of Silence' – Acoustic Guitar by Paul Simon, 'Sweet Virginia' - Acoustic Guitars by Keith Richards and Mick Taylor, and 'Desperado' - Acoustic Guitars by Glen Buxton and Michael Bruce. Other than Led Zep's song, the rest are all very mellow tunes for sure, and as of right now I'm not sure which one I'll go with. Plus unlike all of you, I put this list together and saw it weeks ago, yet I still can't make my mind up over which one I'll go with!
Fab Poll: I'm leaning with John's lyrics from "A Day in the Life" but then we got the Semolina Pilchard lyrics up there too, and George's lyrics from 'Piggies', and well, I'm not 100% sure yet on this one too! But damn, lots of votes already up there this morning, so many of you have decided real fast on this one.... good for you!
