I never cheated and my dad would ask how I got an A on a final and failed a class. Turns out, if you don't go to school, they won't pass you. I missed 160 of 186 days one year.
Gosh 2000 Man, that was my story too, as a high school senor! Other than they didn't give out As or Bs, they gave averages, like in the 80s or 90s, and in the 90s would be the same as an A. But I had the same Business/Recordkeeping class teacher for 3 years, from 10th till 12 grade, his name was Mr Sircolie and showing what my future would be (in business), every year I excelled in his classes. But in 12 grade I was smoking weed heavily and was on work-coop, that meant if I worked, I didn't have to go to school all day, and I only needed 2 and half credits to graduate. I only worked on weekends, and on school weekdays, I had the business class 5 days a week starting at 9 am, and 3 days a week a second class (Science) right after that. that was it, other than they had me down also for gym class for 2 days a week at 2pm, which I never, ever, went to (that was the last half credit I needed to graduate, and they only required it in my senior year after they changed the rules, so I refused to go).... But getting back to the Business class, I was usually there only 2 days a week, yet for the first 3 quarters, my averages were 94%, 92%, and 93%. So at the start of the 4th quarter, Mr Sircolie told me that he was gonna take off a point from my average for every day I missed that quarter unless I showed up everyday. I didn't. So for my final exam I got a 92% on the test, which showed on the report card with all of those other 90s, but only was given a 60% average for the 4th quarter, as Sircolie kept his word and failed me that quarter for not showing up.... Thing was, I never officially graduated, since I refused to go to gym class, they did pass me, but would not give me a diploma or let me go to the gradation ceremonies (and I didn't give a shit, either, as I flat out hated my high school and their stupid rules). Plus I was barred from the yearbook too, because I refused to wear a suit and tie for the book's picture. I was told by this one teacher that I would regret all of this when I got older. Well I've been older for years now and I don't regret any of that, in fact I'm still very proud of what I did! I'll also note than when it came to work - any job I had, even early on when I worked for others, I never missed a day of work, unless I was really sick.
BTW, to this day, I still have all of my report cards from 2nd grade up to 12th!
