Anyone been following this story?
It's pretty bizarre. Not only is it odd that its one of four separate stories of major media figures (Jon Stewart announcing retirement, David Carr and Bob Simon suddenly dying) but its just a weird story on its own.
Its sad that you have a guy who is basically like a lot if guys we probably have all known. A chronic exaggerator, colourizer of the truth. Lots of guys do that. But you can't be a "trusted newsman" and do it. You can do that suckin' back beers in a bar, but not on he nightly news.
Again, just sad that such a great career is basically over, at least over at the top.
