Everyone seems to think Joe Montana is hands down the best QB to ever play the game.
Everybody? Almost nobody here in Colorado thinks that (other than perhaps maybe one Gasser here who hates anything about his home state's football team). Montana was very good, but he wasn't the best. I agree with you about Brady, he's much better than Montana ever was. So was Elway, and in the regular season only, so is Manning. There were others as good as Montana, too. But Joe didn't even play in today's game and things are different today, and I think the rules favoring the QB today might have made him even a better player today if he was still out there playing. Gosh, just how much better would a guy like Y. A. Tittle be had he played QB today?
