Brian is on 'Satisfaction', no question about it, so that story is false. Perhaps he missed the first take of the song? There isn't a member of the band who didn't miss a session here and there at one time or another.
I respect, but could never understand how some make the claim you just make, that the slide on 'Jig Saw Puzzle' doesn't sound like Brian.... Just what are you hearing there? It sounds like the way he played slide to me, and it is him, and there's no question it's him. Keith never played slide in that matter. I mean, just play NE and that song together and it's the same slide sound coming from the same guitar player!
