The character Mick plays isn't Brian so much, he was never a recluse, it is more what Sly Stone turned into in the '80s. Sly, when he dropped out of the business went into seclusion, was living in a mansion, never went outside or anywhere, while living with several different beautiful woman. So it's close to that kind of a story. Mick's acting isn't bad at all, Anita is terrible, she proved she couldn't act in this movie, but as usual for her back in '69, she looked great!
