Pluto and Keno

>I wish I was as confident TM, my mate up in Wisconsin tells me the Packers got a sound going over handed out last time they played the Seahawks.<

Yes, the Packers lost, but as I stated earlier the Packers are a different team at this point in the season. This is particularly true on Defense. Rookie Safety, Clinton-Dix played awful in his first Pro game against Seattle, but is now a true asset to the Defense. Newly acquired Defensive Lineman, Julius Peppers is now acclimated to the new Packers Defense and played a monster game against Dallas, and Clay Mathews is being used more in the middle to stop the run or to blitz. Seattle has mediocre receivers and I think the Packers will do a good job of stopping the run on Sunday. In addition to the improvements on Defense, Rookie Wide Out, Davante Adams is now a great weapon on Offense giving the Packers not one but THREE outstanding receivers for Rodgers to throw to. He killed the Cowboys on Sunday. And no one is better at finding the "open man" than Rodgers. I don't think the Seahawks can cover all three receivers well.(Jordy Nelson #87, Randall #18 Cobb, Davante Adams #17) SOMEONE will be open. I'm not saying I am confident the Packers will win, but I am confident the Packers are a better team now than then. And I know they can beat Seattle with the talent the Packers have. I expect a close game on Sunday. Not unlike the Packers/Dallas game. I believe in the Packers, from their Head Coach right down to their kicker!

> I didn't say that Fox was a terrible coach, but when it came to the way he used a great QB, he was terrible indeed. <

Then I must have misunderstood your meaning in the following quotes from you in this thread:

"Terrible choice for head coach... We have already seen over and over again what terrible coaches do to good teams (i.e. Denver with Fox, they don't lose playoff games because of Manning, they lose the important games because of Fox!)..."

And me, >Rex Ryan knows Defense<

Your quote, "Yes, and so does Jon Fox, but other than in a few places, like Pittsburgh, defensive coaches make for terrible head coaches most of the time."

Knowing Fox is a Defensive Coach I thought you felt Fox was a terrible head coach based on those things you wrote. But I see now, more than anything else, you feel he just can't win the big game, you don't like that he puts his Defense on the field first to start the game, and adds little in the imagination department, to finding plays to help the Offense. I suppose you have a case. But it is not cut and dry as I see it. But let's face it, with Manning injured, the Broncos chances to win were severely hampered of no fault to Fox. Seems like the Offensive Coordinator should take some blame here. Perhaps the Broncos should have run the ball more, and more effectively?

Concerning Manning not playing because of injury Pluto - truth is an injured Manning was still likely better than the Broncos back up QB Brock Osweiler. I've never heard of the guy. But we will never know.

I'm sure Keno knows more about the backup QB than I do.
