He was fired, but they just let it be noted that they agreed to part ways. But Elway met with Manning before he met with Fox, and how come I bet he told Elway, "if Fox is back next year, I'm not". Fox was a cool, nice guy, he treated his players with respect, but he can't coach a team like the Broncos, he's too defensive minded and Denver needs a good offensive coach.
Please John, now pick up the phone and call Shanny right now before somebody else hires him. Tell him you're sorry the boss fired him a few years ago, but he was already sick with the early stages of Alzheimer's and didn't know what he was doing when he hired the worst coach in the history of the team (McDaniels) to replace him... Then ask him to please come back so Manning can win one more SB before he retires.
