RE: RE: RE: Brussels Affair - And Leeds

>This makes me wonder yet again what is more important to people regarding boots...*sound* quality or actual *performance* quality.<

Smart collectors look for both. Yet finding both in a boot as good as Brussels is nearly impossible. That is why it is the king.

I have some fairly good audience recordings of great performances and great soundboards of mediocre performances. I tend to listen to the fairly good recordings of great performances more than the other. But in the old trading circles the great sounding soundboards of mediocre performances were easier to trade. The Halloween show in Oakland Voodoo Lounge Tour comes to mind. Easy to trade, great sounding soundboard but not a spirited performance by the boys that night. By contrast, I have a '73 Frankfurt, audience boot recorded on cassette which has MT, and the entire band, "killing it" and I listen to that one far more. Even though the recording is far from perfect.
