Had you asked after 1974, around the time MT left, then yes, no question, the Stones would had been looked at in almost the same light as the Beatles. But in 1970? They still had a few more great LPs to release first by that time. I think they would had been greatly missed in 1970 and not forgotten, but as great as their '60s stuff was, if they broke up after EOMS, those short few extra years after '70 would make have made a big difference. Sure glad that never happened!
