Happy new year. I'd like to see them make some a new album in whatever context inspires them. But if the last couple of years have proven anything, is that rock albums sales are WAY down for everyone. Ironically, imo, Van Halen, ACDC, ZZ Top, Kiss and Alice Cooper put out their best albums in years with all of their last studio albums, yet they barely made a mark. Its a shame. The Stones will have to do something creative to move a new album. Even htough I'd like to see the Stones go really raw and retro in sound, although I think Jeff Bhasker brought something extra to the production of Doom and Gloom and wonder what an album with his touch on it would be like.
Incidentally I got Nazareth's Shangai'd in Shangai on... I haven't heard this tune in ages and its sounds pretty great. Oddly there is a reference to the Stones within. These guys had some cool tunes. I also really dig Turn on Your Receiver and Woke up this Morning. Saw them in a bar in Ontario years ago - very cool.
