Well more than likely, he loves "Gomper" and how BJ is all over that one; it inspired him to make his own CD of music just like that song, several years ago, which he put together in his mini-studio at his house. He played all of the instruments on it and what he put together - was one 30 to 40 minute song, playing guitar, bass, piano, drums, and his old mellotron. I mean this thing would have sold real good if he only knew somebody in the right place. Yet he no longer has the CD he burned it on, he simply, somehow, lost it about 3 years (if you know Willie, this is totally par with him)! To him it was no big deal that the CD was lost, and he says to me, "I'll just make another one", but he never did. He also no longer has his old mellotron, it was one of the very early ones, and he had it for years, but he was low on cash one day and he sold it real cheap. Too bad, watching him play that thing was as far out as anything I've ever seen, and it had to be worth a lot more money than he got for it.... but the sounds he could get out of that thing! He never should have gotten rid of it, but again, that's Willie.
One last thing I'll add about him, I noted he loves old hippie music, and he does, yet he flat out hates the Dead, thinks they are overrated and suck, he calls them the worst band ever. I guess they're too country-like for him. But it's weird, for a guy who is a gifted musician, there is a lot of music that he can't stand and will not listen to at all.
