I think TSMR is one album that got a HUGE boost from the ABKCO remasters series....I know I listen to it more since that reissue than before - the separation was vastly improved on a lot of tracks, and it really improved tracks like The Lantern, Gomper and the two Sing This All Togethers - you can really HEAR John and Paul now.
I still get amazed how Mick on 2000 Man NAILED what the future was going to be like, and In Another Land shows what Bill MIGHT have been capable of - if Mick and/or Keith had paid attention, and nursed him along a little.
