She comes rolling in like a massive steel train suddenly appearing out of the darkness, just around the corner, speeding down the tracks and around the bend. No build up, no bullshit, she's a fast moving freight train at full throttle from the outset. She demands and gets your attention from the get go. Taylor's rhythm is oh so perfect and Keith's early fillers are beautifully timed and reminiscent of a train whistle letting everybody, and everything, know to get the hell out of the way! The train keeps moving... keeps rocking, This train is moving on, and it's taking you with it! Jagger, the engineer, takes his turn and begins to scream over the huge sound of the train roaring down the tracks. He is serious. In dire need of sleep, food, booze... Everything! And he is letting the whole world know about it. He means everything he is saying. Everything even if at times it seems to make no sense at all. He is maniacal about his needs. "You gotta mix it and you gotta fix it!" And, "Charlie's good tonight ain't he?!" Banging those skins with authority. Setting a pace as hot as the touch of steel railroad tracks baking under a fiery Summer Sun all day in Louisiana. Here come the horns and here comes Keith's talking guitar solo singing a song with no words yet has true meaning. A meaning different to everyone. And the train speed quickens. Jagger is going mad. Keith is sweating as he plays faster and endlessly now. Maybe the train will run off the rails and crash it's going so fast, and then "Hey Hey Hey" booms. "Hey Hey Hey!!!" We're all gonna be just fine. Man we are all gonna be great! "Hey! Hey! Hey!" The words of the song which began as complaint and angst, end in exaltation! And the train, still speeding, still roaring down the tracks, slowly fades away in the distance. Gone but not forgotten. Oh man. What a ride! What an incredible ride!
