VAN HALEN vs AREOSMITH >>>>> Van Halen. I might be able to agree that the very best of Areosmith is better than the very best of Van Halen. But I think Van Halen is just more consistently good. Van Halen are a lot of fun and they really rock. Roth was not as good a singer of many of his contemporaries, not by a mile, but he had a real swagger and a presence in a silly but compelling manner.
ZZ TOP vs AC/DC >>>>>>>>>>> ZZ TOP, and I agree, "by a mile". AC/DC are very, very good but they've really just keep making the same album. And their lyrics sound like they were written by a group of grade 7 students. Still, I love them! But ZZ TOP are classic blues and have done some truly remarkable pieces of Rock n' Roll
