Best show is a toss-up between Kansas on the Leftoverture tour (front row seats!!!) at the Palladium in NYC (maybe it was the Beacon Theatre?), and Rick Derringer at Central Park in the late '70s. Both shows were FAN--TAS--STIK!!!
Worst show was Judas Priest at the Palladium. They headlined. Was it '78? '79? Don't remember. The opening act played for an hour. They sucked. Then Judas Priest came out. OH MY GOD I couldn't believe how awful they were. We were suddenly talking about how good the opening group was!
We walked out before Judas Priest finished. We couldn't take it anymore!
Oh Johnny Winter gave us a fantastic show at Central Park, also late '70s.
