A few days ago I got Hampton '81. I did post a somewhat luke warm review of it, but as I listen it more I do like it. I also just picked up Hyde Park - the album from just a couple of years ago. The Stones are very good. But they sure do sound different from the Stones of the 1970s. Sadly, its a bit of a case of hearing songs from the Hyde Park album and it just makes me want to go back to that same song from early live performances. Whereas as Brussels is so awesome that when I hear some of the studio versions I think "I wish I was listening to the Brussels version right now"
I would love to see more of this "from the vaults" series. Maybe there's a cleaned up version of Perth out there, or possibly one of those Texas shows which weren't half bad.
