Thanks Keno - I meant I'm heading there tomorrow night and yes, I will definitely be checking the weather. By BF already said it's calming down up there. It can get bad (as it does every single time I drive up there) near Parry Sound as they are part of the belt. It used to be a two-lane highway through there for years and I remember as a kid my parents always bitching about that stretch of highway cause there was no passing lanes either and it was only 90km/hour. They have been working for about 10 years now to make that highway into 4 lanes. So far it has taken 1/2 hour off the trip up that way so that is so cool. And the 4 lanes make it all the way to Parry Sound and then after that there are passing lanes. I have my sister in Sudbury too so I'll stop in there for the night if I need to.
Cool story (probably not at the time tho) - it's too bad you didn't have a neighbor who could have lent you some milk. I do know what it is like to have hungry kids tho lol so I would have been jogging to the store too. I've always loved walking in storms - much better on your feet.
