Hi all, just wanted to share the extreme disappointment my wife and I are feeling atm.
Quick back story, been a massive stones fan for most of my life and was able to turn my wife into a fan. I've been lucky enough to see them live a few times and have always raved on about how good it was.
Never actually thought we would get the chance to see them live together until unbelievably they announced a tour down under twelve months ago. Only playing a limited number of shows meant getting a ticket would be difficult but low and behold we managed to secure a pair of tix to the beautiful hanging rock, not to far away from where my wife grew up. Our excitement was at fever pitch even though there was a bit of a wait.
Come March, we were ready to live a life long dream and then due to a tragic turn of events the concert was understandably cancelled. About a month later we heard the news that the tour was back on for November and I think my love for the band got bigger if that's possible.
Fast forward to last Friday the day before we were about to finally see the greatest rock n roll band in the world and I open up Facebook and couldn't believe what I saw, a very brief statement basically stating the concert has been cancelled due to Mick having a throat infection and won't be rescheduled.
We were shocked disappointed upset angry all rolled into one. Now we find out that all is good for the next show in Sydney tomorrow night.
I know there is nothing we can do about it but it really sucks to know that we will never be able to see this amazing band together and my wife will never know what it's like to experience a Rolling Stones concert.
Oh well as Keith so bluntly put it Shit Happens.
