Jagger's voice was in pretty rough shape by 78 - he actually always had a pretty weak set of vocal cords, so when you add in smoking (of both kinds), drinking, 10 years of arena shows, endless studio sessions, especially for SG - it got pretty nasty. Now that he is going to be hitting the mid 70s, the strain of touring on them will be even greater. Even with the longer breaks in between shows and tours, it still damages them more and more, with the recovery time growing longer.
Between this, and Keith's hands, I would be REALLY shocked if last year was not the last real US tour for the guys..they might do isolated groups of shows, but any kind of real tour might be too much - they are, after all, only flesh and blood. :(
