I couldn't disagree with you more! JJF and IORR, when I watch those videos, do not in any way, shape or form tell me a story at all. In JJF they are just playing the song. Period! So, they are wearing makeup. They do that anyway when on stage. IORR, they are wearing sailor suits in a bubble filled with bubbles. No story there.
As far as me hating all videos that tell a story... no, I don't hate ALL of them. If there is a song that has a special meaning to me, and there are lots,... then yes. I don't wanna see a story video about a song that, in my head, I'm picturing something else. Songs that I am indifferent to... yes, I'll watch it, but I'm not really affected. I don't wanna see a "story" video for Moonlight Mile, Ruby Tuesday..songs like that.
