I only gave it the most cursory glance when I bought it, and till now never looked at it again really.
Me too, and that's because the cover never worked for a lot of us fans. A cover is suppose to get people to help buy the album, believe it or not, (at least in the days of vinyl). Some non-fans will actually buy an album because of its cover, this one I'm sure wouldn't do that.
That shape has been in my nut as the Eiffel Tower since back then, no logic to that whatsoever.
I just took another look, yes, I can see where you saw that, yet I never did before, I always just saw a guitar, that along with the car was all I could make out.
I'm really warming to this cover, and I don't know, I think maybe some great art is still being interpreted in different ways after hundreds of years.
Yeah, that's true about great art work. But this painting on a album cover just isn't great to me, but again, on canvas it might be.

Me too! I don't even dislike this cover, but it just don't grab me in the way it should, either. That's it main flaw, and since it took a message board thread to get your attention, it didn't grab you at first either, took 33 year to do so. So it does have a major flaw in it even if it wasn't the artist's fault. I'll give the painting a 7 - maybe, but on the cover of this LP, it gets a 5.
I still want to know what that other stuff is on there, my guess is nobody else knows since nobody else commented on them?
