I gave the "Still Life" cover a somewhat generous 7. While it's not esthetically unpleasant, the cover gives me a WTF feeling. Maybe if I knew for sure what it's about, I'd rate it higher.

I had a really hard time picking just one song in the first rock poll. It was tough voting against my beloved JJF, which would definitely get my vote for greatest opening riff, but I had to go with "A Hard Day's Night". That lone guitar note followed by a brief pause is very powerful.

No vote in the second poll. I don't really like Chicago so I don't care for either of these songs.

I suppose I could have voted for "Act Naturally" in the Beatles poll. I don't think the song will need me to "win" this poll. But I went with "Yesterday" because, quite frankly, I'm sick of that song. I've heard it at least a few hundred times too many.
