Manning is a great QB, he will finish his career with many records, but he has been a terrible playoff QB. No doubt he will be in the HOF and deserves to be, but, IMO, he will never be in the top 10 all time QB's unless his playoff stats improve. Judging by his playoff stats, there are AT LEAST 10 QB's I would rather have on my team come playoff time.
Concerning defenses, IMO, there has always been several teams over each decade that have dominated. The Minnesota Vikings Purple People Eaters, Dallas Cowboys Doomesday Defense, The Steelers Steel Curtain, the powerful Bears defense of the80's, the NY Jets Sack exchange.... I don't think defenses today are any different than the past. ALL athletes these days are bigger and stronger, in EVERY sport! Including golf!!!!
