Yea im not too sure today defenses are better today in fact they are worse because you cant breathe on the qbs or wide receivers lol.In the old days really great mean guys like dick butkus,ray nietchke,mike curtis,jack tatum,night train lane,joe greene,bill romanowski,lyle alzado,and lawrence taylor used to punish qbs,rbs,and receivers like they never could today.The offensive guys are pampered and protected.And the extra games each season add to both single season and career totals in offensive statistics.When jin brown played there were 12 games a season.When unitas played there were 14,now they play 16.Simpson got 2003 yards in 14 games not 16.
