Guess it depends on now you define the word. These days some will just think of computer icons and not people. Many others, like pluto here, think of religious and political figures. I'm more like you, I think along the lines of famous people in entertainment. Marilyn Monroe was the first to come to my mind, and she has several ones of her, more than anybody else I would say - like that drawing Any Warhol did of her, or that other photo taken of her dress flying all around her. Or maybe that very sexy one of the closeup of her face with her right shoulder raised. Others? That one of Jim Morrison, shirtless, with his arms raised; my late wife had a big time poster of that one on the wall. Jagger? That one of him taken from the Performance poster, I seem to see that one used the most. Or Lennon's self portrait (above), it's the one that I use for the main icon on my Lennon site.... How about that one of Jack Nicholson looking thru the broken door in that scene from The Shining? Big today seems to be mug shots, like that one of Nick Nolte - with his hair all a mess wearing that Hawaiian shirt - or the first mug shot of OJ. Plus there are several ones of sport figures of course. Stuff like that!
For the Stones only: besides the one of Jagger that I noted, the one of BJ wearing the robes that RS had of him on the cover after he died. Or the one of Keith standing next to the US customs drug sign at the airport. Or that one of the Glimmers from EOMS of them standing next to the mic singing together holding their booze bottles. That's what I think of!
