RE: BnB/RSN/Kinks/CB and Fabs

The Rolling Stones Now! This for me is the quintessential Stones R&B LP, with songs that are mined from the best of the Chess Studio sessions.

Under-rated Kinks member? Peter Quaife, perhaps the least known of the original quartet but arguably the best musician. The band has a "loose" playing style. Mick Avery in particular was not the best timekeeper. But Quaife wrapped his bass lines around everything else, allowing the band's patent sound to remain loose but short of being sloppy.

Rock & Roll Music? Not often I'll go with the cover, but the Beatles version with Lennon's frantic vocal easily tops Berry's original, which sounds somewhat lackluster.

Least favorite on PPM? Ask Me Why. It must that "Woo Woo Woo Woo Woo Woo" lyric making the song sound like an incomplete filler. Not a bad song, but not as good as the others IMO.
