I don't understand why so many people are voting for "A Taste of Honey". I love that song!
Beatle fans always hated that song (from the day it was released) more than any other Beatles song, with the exception of "Revolution 9", which isn't really a song at all. It is also the only Fab song that Paul flat out said sucked and he felt was the worst thing they ever recorded. Take a look in the poll archives at the Beatles Ongoing poll for least liked Beatle song and you'd see that it's the number 1 voted on song and only John's non song is ahead of it. Yet you like it, which I think is cool, even if most don't.
My picks:
Stones poll: RSN by a wide margin.
Rock poll: Ray Davies, although brother Dave is a very close second. But it was Ray who was the main lead singer, played several different instruments, and wrote all of the great hit songs. He wrote more songs overall than Dave wrote, although Dave did write several of their songs too, especially on the early LPs. But none of his many songs were hits, all the hits were from and sang by Ray.... But of the rock bands that made it big, the Kinks were the most underrated group (IMO of course, and now I'm wondering if we ever did ask that question in a poll?... must check!)
VS poll: The Beatles cover. I very much like Chuck's original, but nobody can compare or stand up to John and his vocals and on this cover he sounded as great as he ever did.
Fab poll: A very easy choice for me, as "A Taste of Honey" is one of the few Beatles songs I dislike.
