Just heard about this myself. They had a lot of great songs. "Good Thing" was a huge favorite.

If I remember this story correctly, they recorded "Louie, Louie" the same week as the Kingsmen did. But because Paul Revere & The Raiders recorded for Columbia Records, Mitch Miller, who headed CR hated RnR and therefore didn't promote the Raiders' version.

Loved the show "Where The Action Is"!
