Well I (and the kids) got to spend a second (beautiful) day in a row staining our log house, and tonight I wanted to go to bed early since my old body is hurting bad, but I hadn't even figured out what polls I was going to run for tomorrow's poll deadline, plus I needed to published them, as tomorrow is sunday, which means football, so I had to do that work tonight. So did that and a few other things - then I made the mistake of coming here, not that I mind the thread, it's always cool when we debate, as long as we are debating and not flaming each other, and I don't think anyone in this thread is doing that. But how do I not respond to this thread now that I read it? So here I go, you all know who wrote what and I'll reply all here in the order I read it and copied the replies that I'm now replying to....

Yes, I know that, but as you know, we all can reply to any post or replies here...
....all I said was I think you could ask several people the same thing and you would get the same answer, I didn't say what I thought the answer would be.
I know, you didn't state the answer, so that's why I asked you to state it. One should stand behind what they state if they believe what they stated!

No, that's where you added it up wrong, not me. I asked you a question - who the hell are all of these people who hate BJ? Other than some misinformed fans (and I'm not saying you are one of them), nobody who knew him hated him - including Keith.
Just a point on something you've written above i.e. about Anita being 'stolen'. That makes her sound like she was an inanimate object, with no feelings or will, a mere possession.
To you maybe. Here in North America anyway, we use this term regularly, perhaps in the UK where you live you don't, fine, but here we do. Stating this has nothing at all to do with owning anybody, it has to do with this .... when you have a boy or girlfriend, or any friend, it's your friend (when you introduce your friend to another, you say "this is my friend", but nobody means they own the person!), and when another takes that friend away from you forever, in one's mind that person's friendship was stolen away. Seems silly that you would make a big deal over a term that's been used by millions for longer than you and I've been alive, but again, maybe over on the other side of the pond it isn't used? Heck, you call trucks "lorries" and elevators "lifts", etc, so lighten up, as DA correctly noted, it's just a figure of speech here and I and many others here will use it till the day we die to describe such a situation.
When you find someone who you think is your friend beating up his girlfriend, and she latches onto you, that is hardly stealing her.
The friendship was ended by Keith, no? He stole her away from his best friend (and the 2 were best friends at the time). Brian had the heart to let his best friend live with him and his fiancee, Anita, back then. You don't steal your best friend's girl away for your own if you are a good person - nor do you start to also beat her yourself once she is yours, which more than one person saw Keith do. Now yes, Anita was just as guilty as Keith was in this breakup and her ending up with Keith. Plus don't forget she also beat up on Brian, it was a 2 way deal with them 2, not sure, but I bet it was with her and Keith, too!
That Keno has suggested that Richards may in fact feel 'guilty' over his part in the affair just reinforces the idea that there was a wrongdoing, and perhaps reveals a mind set.

In fact it would be just another little addition to the on going campaign to besmirch Keith Richards' around here. Fanciful? I don't think so.
Sorry, but this statement is total, 100% bullshit!! If Keith didn't state all the crap he does about his late friend - who can't defend himself, nobody would be talking about this! Maybe you should listen again to all the shit he has stated about Brian, and as a Stone fan defend Brian instead of Keith for once! Some here (and at other boards too) defend Brian and you label us (here only) to be "besmirching Keith"? You even had the balls a few months ago to claim I wasn't a Stones fan. I'm defending a Stone damn it! Just like I also defend Bill, MT and Ronnie here - they are all Stones - no? So why am I not a Stones fan in your mind when I'm defending 4 different Stones regularly? Yet what you're doing is defending a guy who is putting down the man who started the band, so maybe you aren't a Stones fan either, going by what you accused me of?
I'm quite clear that there are some who just don't like Richards and Jagger. That is strange on a Stones web board.
Not at all, I've seen where it takes place at other Stones boards too (be it years ago, since I haven't read any of the other boards in years).
Now I can only speak for myself here, but I've loved both of the Glimmers since 1964 when they came to America, and still love both of them today, but yes, I no longer like Keith, since he clearly doesn't like and puts down the man who started this band and help make him (Keith) known to the masses. People say Keith is the biggest Stone fan around, but I disagree. The biggest Stone fan around doesn't publicly put down the one man who made the band happen in the first place and then who also helped to make some of the greatest music with them for several years. We have fans who post at this very board who are bigger fans than you, me, or Keith!
You defend the Glimmers for pretty much the same reasons I defend Brian: because you love their contributions and so don't like to see them attacked.
Exactly! Why is it okay pluto for you to defend the Glimmers yet it's not okay for us to defend Brian? Can you please answer that very fair question?
I have stated this here before and I'll state it again, when Keith stops bashing BJ, I'll stop defending Brian and I'll stop calling out Keith for what he is, and just maybe I can get back to liking the guy again - the same guy who as a kid in the '60s I looked up to and then years later named one of my kids after! BTW, I never named any of my kids after Brian.
