I think that's fair comment DA, I do love the contributions made by Jagger and Richards to the Rolling Stones, and it's impossible to imagine the Rolling Stones without that input. So yes, when I see what I consider to be deliberate attempts to undermine and besmirch that contribution I will defend. Of course my support is not unconditional, if criticism is justified, then it's justified.
I think I should also say that I love the musical contribution made by Brian Jones, and all the other 'Stones'. Again, very hard to imagine the Rolling Stones without it.
When these sort of debates arise I try to consider things in an even handed balanced way, and not look at it from an entrenched position. By it's very nature there is an awful lot that we can only speculate on given that none of us were there, common sense and logic is what I try to utilise when there is little else to go on. No doubt I get it wrong plenty, but I have no problem with getting it wrong, and saying so...do I lol?.
Sorry to hear that you despise someone in a band you clearly love, that's hard.
