The man sure wrote a ton of hit songs, and the 4 Seasons would had been nothing without him. The Stones song "I Much Rather Be With the Boys" (the only Stones song to sound like the 4 Seasons) was written about him dating girls yet being in the closet back in the mid '60s, back when most gays were. I understand he wasn't too happy on how the new movie Jersey Boys handled that fact, as he is played as an openly gay person when in real life he never was that way. He used to date girls regularly to cover up the fact that he was gay, and the reason Keith wrote that song about him, but the Stones never released it until years later (in '75 on Meta) was because they didn't wish to be the ones to expose him.
RIP Bob, you wrote some great songs!
